Crown Casino patron suffers a heart attack during a forcefull ejection?

Listen to the 3AW interview between Neil Mitchell and Crown Casino spokesman Gary O'Neill http://www.theage.com.au/victoria/man-dies-after-casino-fray-20110707-1h4rj.html

A MAN has died in hospital after a violent confrontation with bouncers at Crown Casino on Sunday night.
Homicide detectives are investigating the incident, in which they say that Anthony Dunning, 40, from Ferntree Gully, became unconscious as he was restrained by security about 10.30pm.

Paramedics said Mr Dunning went into cardiac arrest and was resuscitated before being taken to The Alfred hospital in critical condition. He died at 3.30pm yesterday.

Police say another man and woman were also involved in the altercation with several security personnel. The second man suffered arm and facial injuries. The matter was first reported to police the next day.
Crown Casino issued a statement last night offering ''our most sincere sympathy to the friends and family of Mr Dunning''. The casino was co-operating with police and ''given the ongoing police investigation Crown is not in a position to make any further comment on the matter at this stage''.

Crown Casino spokesman Gary O'Neill previously had said the incident occurred outside a bar on the gaming floor and had involved three or four security staff. He said it had escalated after the two other people became involved. Mr O'Neill said the security staff allegedly involved were now ''not performing their normal duties''.

Tony, a friend of the dead man, said Mr Dunning was not a troublemaker.

''He's a very nice-natured person,'' he told 3AW.

''He's just one of those people I can't imagine getting into a situation like that.''

Tony said he understood Mr Dunning was with a couple at the time.

A post-mortem examination will be conducted by the coroner today to determine the cause of death.
